Happy Birthday!

Today is my grandmother's birthday and despite the fact that she doesn't have a computer and that it would take me a while to even explain what a blog is exactly I'm going to wish her a happy birthday here. I did make her a cake, so you know, I'm not just going to wish her a happy birthday in the place she's least likely to find it.

And yesterday was Chico's birthday. Chico hasn't been around to celebrate in a long while, but all the same, Happy Birthday.

Honestly, if you've never seen a Marx Bros. film, you should go do so now. Seriously. I recommend Animal Crackers as a place to start. Or A Night at the Opera. Or A Day at the Races. Just do it. Do it now.

Happy Birthday Nanny and Chico

I'd just like to take this opportunity to say Happy birthday to my Grandmother. I hope it was super awesome and I love you.
Also, The 22nd would have been Chico Marx's birthday. Happy Birthday, Chico. May you win all your afterlife bets.

Happy Birthday, Groucho!

117 and I still love him more than nearly everyone. I'd sell the souls of my friends to have "You Bet Your Life" on DVD. And just for today I went out and bought "An Evening With Groucho" on vinyl.
So happy birthday, Groucho. Here's hoping that wherever you are there are plenty of good cigars, the women are hot and the drinks are cold.

Another Birthday

If you've been coming here a while or know me at all, you'll forgive me while I state the obvious. I'm a Marx Bros. fan. I think I've got just about all of their movies and I love them all. Despite having seen them enough times to know them inside and out, they still make me laugh. So today is a special day.
It's Leonard Marx's Birthday! I'd say that you probably know him better as Chico... but then I don't expect many of you know him at all. Well it's my blog and I love him, so there.

I suspect I'm the only one to whom this really matters, but it's Groucho's birthday today.
